Sim City: A Game to Kill For - NOT FAKE TRAILER [HD]

While working with the pop culture comedy site UGO.com, I directed and edited a parody trailer that reimagined the classic video game SimCity as if it were adapted in the dark, hyper-stylized world of Robert Rodriguez’s Sin City. The piece took the tongue-in-cheek premise of small-town zoning laws, traffic jams, and power outages and gave them the noir grit of a Frank Miller comic come to life—complete with moody black-and-white visuals, splashes of stylized color, and over-the-top narration. By blending the look and feel of a big-budget movie trailer with the absurdity of city-planning gameplay, the sketch struck a balance of cinematic polish and pop culture satire. I oversaw every element of production, from concept development to directing and post-production, ensuring the final parody both honored its inspirations and delivered sharp comedy for UGO’s audience. It remains one of my favorite early examples of how I merge technical skill with playful storytelling to create memorable, shareable content.
