This isn't Margaritaville: a SKETCH by UCB's Horse + Horse

I directed a one-shot comedy sketch about an office worker who laments his corporate grind and dreams of living life in the carefree spirit of Margaritaville. The concept centered around a single flowing soliloquy, so I took great care in blocking and coordinating the surrounding chaos—coworkers bustling, props moving, and background gags—all timed to feel spontaneous yet seamless. Although the sketch was designed as a continuous one-shot, we ran into technical issues with the camera on the day of filming. To preserve the original vision, I meticulously stitched together five different takes in post, creating the illusion of a flawless uninterrupted shot. The end result maintained the comedic rhythm and theatrical flair of the performance, while also showcasing the precision and problem-solving required to deliver a polished one-shot style video under imperfect circumstances.
